Off to SouthEast Asia!
I will be updating this blog for our brother as he travels. Here is what he has written so far:
Several people have requested my itinerary or prayer gram. I normally am able to get it to everyone several weeks before I depart. As some of you know, this was going to be my first extensive trip without a traveling buddy. It was literally down to the wire, but on Saturday, a good friend and dear brother, expressed a desire to go if he could get tickets at this late date and at a reasonable price. It is at times like these when God intervenes and He has miraculously provided a traveling partner for me.
Below is our itinerary and prayer requests:
(specific dates and certain information removed)
We will have several preaching engagements on Sunday at various churches.
We will have the opportunity to visit with Vibol and his wife, Soknim. This will be a joyous occasion as we will be presenting her with get well cards and funds for their hospital expenses. Thank you so much for all of the prayers, cards and funds. I will let you know the final amount that was given when I send an update.
We will spend the week meeting with key leaders, and listening to the teachers who have been trained by the CPM. The church leaders are requesting 3,000 copies of the newly revised CPM to distribute to church planters and existing church pastors.
We will work together to introduce the CPM into the various church planting movements. We will develop a partnership with other key leaders and strategize in reaching all the unreached people groups in that country.
Please pray that we can line up our lives, families and ministries with Scripture.
Pray that we will be of one accord in unity and wisdom, and that we will develop strategies that are simple, practical, powerful, supra-cultural, timeless and mostly importantly, NOT dependent on man or his education, buildings or money.
Pray that we will clearly see God’s plan for His bride, His family, His flock and His body-His church!
Pray for traveling mercies and health mercies and that I will under the total control of the Holy Spirit.
And lastly, please pray that in EVERYTHING, Christ might be pre-eminent! “For in Him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through Him to reconcile to Himself all things, whether on earth or in Heaven, making peace by the blood of His Cross.”
Chris-you are doing a needful and blessed work in launching and keeping up this blog. GOOD WORK! Brother. You know so many of us related to IMD International are remembering Vibol and Soknim in our prayers – calling their names from our heart to God’s heart.
